CNC Machinist – CNC Milling / Turning (m/f/d)
“I am not just milling anything here.
I work for the space industry.”
– Domenik B., CNC Milling Machinist
Here, you’ll be machining sophisticated special alloys—
high-strength materials that only a handful of companies worldwide can process.
And most importantly: You’ll work independently and have a direct impact on the finished component.
What you will do
- Machining sophisticated components in small and medium-volume production runs
- Setting up and operating modern CNC machines
- Working with high-strength materials and tight tolerances
- Inspecting the finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality
- Monitoring and optimizing machining processes
- Think ahead, improve processes, and take responsibility
What you should bring
- Completed vocational training in machining or a related field
- Experience working with CNC controls, such as Heidenhain or Fanuc
- Ideally, experience in 5-axis milling
- A strong commitment to precision and quality
- Ability to work independently and in an organized manner
- Initiative and a sense of responsibility
Why working with us is worth it

No standard job
You’ll work on components for the energy, aviation, and aerospace industries—no mass production, no routine.

Challenge instead of repetition
Nickel-based alloys and high-strength materials instead of simple materials.

Personal responsibility
You set up machines, make decisions, and directly influence the result.

Stability
Recession-proof industries and a reliable order backlog.
Who we are
AWB GmbH & Co. KG is a mid-sized machining company specializing in highly critical components made from nickel-based alloys and difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel®, Hastelloy®, and titanium. Our tolerances can be as tight as +/- 2 micrometers – for applications where failure is not an option.
We manufacture complex individual parts and small batches for industries in which components must perform under extreme conditions: at high temperatures, under sustained mechanical stress, and in safety-critical systems. Our customers include companies in the energy, aviation, and space industries.
In addition, we develop and build high-quality mobile technical workshops and custom containers as a separate product line.
We work with modern machines, including DMG MORI and Hermle, and a high level of digitalization – with paperless production.

What appreciation means at AWB
- Structured onboarding with personal support
- Modern machine fleet and clean processes
- Secure job with a long-term perspective
- Exciting projects instead of mass production
- 30 days of vacation
- Training and development opportunities
