2.4665 – NiCr19Fe19Nb5Mo3 – Inconel® HX – Nicrofer® 4722 Co

The nickel-chromium-iron HX alloy is an important material for use in high-temperature environments and corrosive media. Thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance and good high-temperature strength, HX is, among others, used in the manufacture of exhaust pipes, combustion chamber parts, power plant and aircraft turbine parts, as well as furnace parts. The maximum application temperature for corrosively- and statically-stressed components is approx. 1,177 °C for this material.  The creep rupture strength for highly-stressed components is specified up to an operating temperature of 850 °C.

Some options for processing:

  • Turning
  • 5-axis milling
  • Eroding
  • Marking
  • etc.

This material is sold under the following brand names:

  • Inconel® HX
  • Nicrofer® 4722 Co
