Machining of…
2.0966 – CuAl10Ni5Fe4
This copper-aluminum alloy, with added nickel and iron has a high strength, even at higher temperatures of up to approx. 400 °C. It displays high fatigue strength, even under corrosion stress. It is resistant to neutral, acidic and aqueous media, as well as seawater. It displays good resistance characteristics to scaling, erosion and cavitation. It has very high wear resistance and good sliding properties for mating materials with hard surfaces and with perfect lubrication. Plates for condenser and heat exchanger bottoms. Shafts, screws, wear parts, control parts for hydraulics, hot steam fittings. Mechanically- and chemically-stressed parts in machine construction, shipbuilding and mining.
Some options for processing:
- Turning
- 5-axis milling
- Eroding
