3.7235 – Ti Gr. 2Pd – Titan Grade 7

Titanium size 7 is a technically pure titanium material with extremely good mechanical properties and high corrosion resistance. Pure titanium displays a very good resistance to salt water and various corrosive media (chlorine gas, nitric acids, etc.). Thanks to titanium’s high affinity to react with oxygen, the resistant and firmly-adhering oxide layer forms on the surface of the titanium. The addition of palladium improves the corrosion resistance, when compared to titanium grade 2. Main applications are offshore platforms, aviation, space travel, highly stressed, weight-saving components, condensers in power stations, condensers in seawater desalination plants and in the chemical industry.
